Business policy

Our corporate policy is aimed at meeting the expectations of our customers and the requirements of the market, but its philosophy is the result of decades of experience in the industry.
Our corporate policy is thus deeply rooted in the philosophy of Preymesser.

Client orientation

The customer is at the center of all our activities. The satisfaction of our customers determines our success and thus secures the existence of the company. Reliability, flexibility and experience are the foundations of our service. Through efficient logistics solutions and efficiency we want to contribute to the success of our customers.

Continual improvement

The management provides the necessary means for the permanent improvement of our services and processes. Continuous improvement is both an economic and a strategic advantage. The responsibility for this lies with the entire management level and should be the motivation of each and every one of us.

Health and Safety

The safety and health of our employees is our top priority. This is why we always ensure a high standard of occupational safety. Minimizing safety risks and preventing health hazards are part of our daily endeavors. Every employee has the duty and responsibility to take care of his own health and safety as well as of his colleagues.

Sustainability

We are aware of the economic, ecological and social responsibility of our actions. A responsible approach to our environment is an important key element of our company, both in terms of social and economic aspects. We are therefore obliged to do more for our environment than is required by law and try to save natural resources in the company.

Process reliability

The basis for our services is our high quality standards. Our task is to ensure optimal process reliability through efficient solutions and risk minimization. Qualified personnel, professional equipment and efficient IT solutions are prerequisites for securing and further developing our logistics processes.

Employee contentment

Qualified and satisfied employees are the foundation of our success as a family business. We want to create a strong bond with our company through a high level of employee satisfaction. We promote the know-how, commitment and entrepreneurial responsibility of each individual. The employees represent the company values in their daily actions.

Code of conduct

This Code of Conduct summarizes the expectations of M. Preymesser GmbH towards its employees and business partners with regard to ethically correct and responsible management. The basis for this is responsible corporate management geared to long-term value creation.

In our procurement activities, we pay attention not only to procedural, economic and technical criteria, but also to social and ecological aspects of human rights and working conditions, prevention of corruption and environmental protection.

Preserving human rights

The personal dignity, privacy and rights of the individual shall be respected. No one shall be forced to work against his will. Any unacceptable behaviour towards employees must be rejected, such as psychological cruelty, sexual or personal assault or discrimination.

Anti-discrimination and ethical recruitment

All employees and business partners are expected to promote equal opportunity and equal treatment of employees and to observe this in recruitment regardless of skin colour, ethnic origin, nationality, social background, disability, sexual orientation, political or religious beliefs, gender, age, pregnancy, ancestry, medical condition, marital status, gender identity or genetic information. This means that the values of diversity, equality and inclusion are firmly embedded in our everyday lives. We also expect the rights of women, minorities, and indigenous peoples to be respected.

Legal security and preservation of land, forest and water rights

We undertake to comply with all legal provisions and other obligations. It is the responsibility of all employees to avoid hazards to people and the environment and to comply with legal requirements. Suppliers are also required to comply with the laws and regulations of each country in which they operate. Any form of corruption, including extortion and bribery, payments or favours that may result in the influence of government officials, other law enforcement officials or violations of the law shall be rejected.

Respect for applicable land, forest and water rights shall be observed. Forced evictions in the development of new land shall be avoided.

No compulsory labour

Suppliers may not engage in human trafficking or may not engage in any form of slave or forced labour. All work must be voluntary and workers must be able to terminate their employment with reasonable notice. Conduct (including gestures, expressions, or physical contact) that is sexually harassing, coercive, threatening, abusive or exploitative shall be prohibited.

No child labour

Business partners shall comply with this principle if they neither directly nor indirectly employ children below the legal minimum age for compulsory schooling, which may not be less than 15 years, unless the expectations recognised by the ILO apply. Where young workers are employed, business partners should ensure that the nature of the activity does not adversely affect their health, safety or development.

Health and safety

All employees and suppliers are expected to maintain the health and safety of colleagues and employees, as well as to control hazards and take precautions against accidents and occupational diseases. In order to avoid health hazards, occupational health and safety regulations must be strictly observed. Occupational health and safety is the obligatory task of each individual.

Availability and working hours

Business partners must pay all workers at least the minimum wage required by applicable laws and regulations and provide all social benefits required by law. Except in emergencies or unusual situations, the working week shall be limited to the maximum number of hours permitted by national laws and regulations, including overtime.

Freedom of association and collective bargaining

Suppliers must respect the right of workers to freely join the labour organisations of their choice, seek representation and engage in collective bargaining in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

No corruption and blackmailing

Corruption, extortion, theft and embezzlement of any kind are strictly prohibited. Employees or suppliers may not make offers or use bribes or other means to obtain an improper or inappropriate advantage.

Business conduct and business relations

Suppliers are expected to behave fairly in a competitive environment and to comply with applicable antitrust laws. Furthermore, it is expected that decisions relating to business activities will be made solely on the basis of objective criteria.

Right to complain and disclose information

Every employee may exercise his or her right to complain and disclose information about violations of the law. The respective complaints reception office has the obligation to review these, comment on them and, in the case of a justified complaint, ensure that they are remedied. Employees will be protected from threats, harassment or other adverse actions within the company.

Export controls and economic sanctions

Strict compliance with foreign trade regulations is elementary for globally active companies. Foreign trade regulations must always be observed when exporting goods and services.

Plagiarism and intellectual property

We do not tolerate deliberate or negligent behaviour that results in a reduction in quality. For this reason, the use of plagiarised or counterfeit materials is prohibited. Furthermore, we respect intellectual property and will not use or publish it without authorisation.

Conflicts of interest

A potential conflict of interest exists when the private interests of one of our employees collide or may collide with the interests of the company. Such a conflict of interest may arise in particular from secondary employment. If an employee puts his or her personal interests above those of the company, this can be detrimental to the company. In the event of such conflicts of interest, the supervisor must be informed.

Financial responsibility - accurate records

The honest, accurate and objective recording and reporting of financial and non-financial information is fundamental to the Group's reputation. We therefore aim to comply with all legal, tax, audit and regulatory obligations. In addition, the records are used to support business decisions.

Data protection, information security and customer property

We expect our suppliers to comply with the applicable data protection regulations in the same way as we do. In addition, we expect that information security is maintained in the handling of data, especially with regard to confidential information. In order to ensure the information security and property of our customers, we use the necessary private or public security forces if required. The same is also expected from our suppliers.

Sustainability and environmental protection

A responsible approach to our environment is an important key element of our company, in terms of social and economic aspects. The concept of sustainability is considered not only against the background of ethical expectations, but also with a view to securing and increasing competitiveness. We are therefore obliged to do more for our environment than legal requirements dictate and try to conserve natural resources. All employees and suppliers are expected to protect the environment and its resources.

Energy-efficient processes

We design our processes with economic efficiency in mind so that the health and safety of people take priority and impacts on the environment remain as low as possible. Our responses to possible emergency or disruptive situations are prepared. We also attach great importance to environmental compatibility and energy efficiency when procuring services and products. When handling hazardous substances and chemicals, we ensure the greatest possible safety for people and the environment. We also expect our suppliers to design their processes in an energy-efficient manner.

Conservation of resources and decarbonisation using renewable energies

All energy sources used in the company are continuously monitored. Through optimised use, as well as the identification of opportunities for improvement, we want to constantly reduce our energy consumption and thus remain competitive. We want to keep fuel emissions as low as possible through consumption-optimised driving behaviour.

Wastewater generated during the course of our activities is treated before discharge in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. By complying with these laws and regulations and handling the chemicals used responsibly, we aim to preserve the quality of the soil.

In addition to conserving resources, we want to replace fossil fuels with renewable energies as soon as possible, taking into account economic efficiency, and thus reduce or avoid CO2 emissions and make our contribution to decarbonisation.

Waste prevention and recycling

Waste generated during the course of our activities is monitored. Disposal is carried out exclusively with certified waste management companies. As a matter of principle, we expect waste to be avoided wherever possible and generated waste to be recycled or reused.

Land use and deforestation, animal welfare and biodiversity

When developing new land, we pay attention not only to the economic location factors but also to using the land as efficiently as possible and avoiding deforestation. In addition to these factors, we try to leave the flora and fauna of the surrounding area as untouched as possible and thus contribute to their protection.

Product, food and feed safety

When handling food, feed and other products, we are aware that we have a certain influence on the human food chain. Therefore, hygienic working in accordance with the requirements of IFS Logistics, GMP+, as well as the legal regulations is a matter of course for us and thus part of our philosophy.

Commitment to compliance and sharing along the Supply Chain

The Supplier acknowledges the need to comply with the principles contained herein and thereby actively support the values and objectives contained herein. Should the requirements of national legislation differ from the principles formulated in this code of conduct, the more stringent requirements shall be taken into account. It shall inform its suppliers and subcontractors of the requirements of this code and ensure compliance with it.
